This Terms and Conditions ('Terms of Use') is effective as of January 1st, 2009.

If you use the ‘Schools Community Network’ (hereafter 'Schools') service [http://educated friends.com/schools] provided by Educated Friends, you agree to be bound by the following Terms of Use. All disclaimers related to ‘Schools’, shall also include Educated Friends, its owners, employees, sponsors, service providers or any other members or user of the service.

Basic Terms

  1. You must be 13 years and older to use this site and service.
  2. You are responsible for any activity that occurs under your username and account.
  3. You are responsible for keeping your password secure.
  4. You must not abuse, harass, threaten, impersonate or intimidate other Schools users.
  5. You may not use the Schools service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose. International users also agree to comply with all local laws regarding online conduct and acceptable content for persons of all ages.
  6. You are solely responsible for your conduct and any data, text, information, screen names, graphics, photos, profiles, audio and video clips, links ('Content') that you submit, post, and display on the Schools service.
  7. Adult Content, Explosive and Drug Formulas, Cruelty to People or Animals, Prejudice of any nature, or any content not suitable to children, or reference to such content, is strictly prohibited.
  8. Although the Schools service is a free service, you agree to contribute towards the upkeep of the service if your Content exceeds 25Mb of storage space. Contributions is voluntary up to 100Mb of storage, where after it becomes compulsory. This service may not be used as an online archive or personal backup facility. We may delete any undesirable Content and suspend your service without notification and at our own discretion.
  9. The Schools service is intended for personal use, it is not a business solution. Professional or corporate uses of Schools are at entirely at your own risk.
  10. You must not modify, adapt or hack Schools or modify another website so as to falsely imply that it is associated with Schools nor Educated Friends [www.educatedfriends.com].
  11. You must not create or submit unwanted email to any of the Schools members ('Spam'). We have a zero tolerance for any Spam.
  12. The Schools service may not be used by its members for blatant marketing of any product or service. Educated Friends and its owners reserve all marketing rights via the Schools service, to aid in the upkeep of the service.
  13. You must not transmit or post any worms, bots, trojans, viruses or any code of a destructive or disruptive nature.
  14. You must not, in the use of the Schools service, violate any laws in your jurisdiction (including but not limited to copyright laws).
  15. Any loss of, or damage to data is not the responsibility of the Schools service, its owners, employees, sponsors, service providers or any other members or user of the service. Use of this service is entirely at your own risk.

Violation of any of these agreements will result in the termination of your Schools account. Gross violations of these agreements may also be reported to your ISP, Webhost and/or other authorities. While Schools prohibits such conduct and content on its site, you understand and agree that Schools cannot be responsible for the Content posted on its web site and despite our best efforts, you may be exposed to such materials and that you use the Schools service entirely at your own risk.

General Conditions

  • We reserve the right to modify or terminate the Schools service for any reason, without notice at any time.
  • We reserve the right to alter these Terms of Use at any time. If the alterations constitute a material change to the Terms of Use, we will notify you via an appropriate method. What is a 'material change' is at our discretion. We encourage members to frequently check this page for any changes to the Terms of Use, using the effective date as an indication of the most recent changes. Your continued use of this facility after any change in the Terms of Use will constitute your acceptance of such change.
  • We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason at any time.
  • We reserve the right to reclaim usernames on behalf of businesses or individuals that hold legal claim or trademark on those usernames.


Copyright and Trademarks

What belong to you is yours, and the same applies to any another entity. It is however recommended that you indicate copyright on the applicable Content as a precaution if you seriously wish to protect your intellectual or other property.

We claim no intellectual property rights over any material you provide/upload or contribute to the Schools service.
